B.E.I.N.G: Basic Existence In Neither Gender

~ “As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.”~ —Carl Jung

There is a very interesting phenomenon which exists among humans which is that we are always trying to be something instead of simply being that which we are seeking to become. In reality, being is a very natural concept. Unfortunately for humans, that’s not always the case. It seems as though we have become a species of doers instead of a race of beings. Instead of simply allowing the Universe to take its rhythmic course, we’re constantly striving to have or do or get rather than simply being one with the natural flow of life. We constantly resist what is by failing to realize that life is what it is in every situation whether we’re comfortable with it or not. This goes back to the discipline of acceptance which says we must always remember that life is unfolding in the exact way that it should and any resistance to this unfolding will only cause pain and discomfort. We are to accept the things we cannot change and be willing enough to change the things we can.
